There has been so much going on at Tasting Scotland HQ we can't even begin to start. Above all else, this year to date, we have enjoyed nothing more than creating a complete range of unique food and drink experiences that allow you to get the true taste of Scotland in one wholesome bite.We are looking forward to meeting all the fine folks who have booked one of our itineraries or food, wine and whisky tasting experiences in 2014 or are beginning to work with us to custom design a holiday/vacation in 2015 and beyond.We are also delighted to announce a brand new partnership with 'Eat Walk Edinburgh'. The Foodies Fringe

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe started today (2 August, running until 26 August) and is the largest and best open-access arts festival in the world, containing a wide range of shows and events.  Edinburgh is as crazy busy as it gets and it is a fabulous time to be in our capital city. Out and about on our Edinburgh Food & Drink Walking Tour yesterday we came across a huge number of advertising posters for the shows and events, many of which had references to food or drink. The first one to catch our eye was Comedian Andrew Maxwell’s show entitled ‘Banana Kingdom’. We don’t of course grow bananas in Scotland but the list below relates ...

Walk the Talk – Tasty Treats in Edinburgh

Greetings Fellow Foodies! Walk the Talk:  Tasty Treats in Edinburgh’s glorious Old Town Our first Foodie Walking Journey provided an opportunity to celebrate the range of artisan produce available to try in the heart of our beautiful Capital City.  Traditionally made speciality cheeses, hot smoked salmon, venison salami & slow spit-roasted pork, were perfectly complimented by the sweet notes from organic thick, creamy hot chocolate, an array of artisan ice-creams, sorbets and little square of fudge…..or 3. Theme for the day: ‘Calorie Neutral Foodie Heaven’ (surely the walking element off-sets the calorific values?  Yes, we think so ...
