Trip Highlights

DAY 1 WELCOME TO SCOTLAND

DAY 2 YES CHEF!

• an entertaining and relaxed hands-on cooking class with a professional chef (lunch included). Theme: Scotland on a Plate
• Gourmet Dinner in one of Glasgow’s top restaurants overnight 4 or 5 star accommodation in Glasgow (Night 2 of 3)
DAY 3 STIRLING AND WHISKY GALORE!
• traditional Scottish Breakfast
• visit choice: the National William Wallace ‘Braveheart’ Monument / Stirling Castle / Battle of Bannockburn Heritage Centre
• visit and tasting at the Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Whisky Distillery
• join the Master Blender to learn the art of whisky blending and create your own whisky to take home
• log your creation into the distillery records
• evening at leisure
• overnight 4 or 5 star accommodation in Glasgow (Night 3 of 3)
DAY 4 THE LOCHS AND HIGHLANDS
• traditional Scottish Breakfast
• enjoy one of Scotland’s most breathtakingly beautiful journeys, passing Loch Lomond and through Glencoe (with a morning coffee stop en-route)
• onwards drive towards Fort William, famed for its fresh seafood
• ‘Pearls of the Sea’ lunch tasting menu
• visit to Loch Ness, Scotland’s best known loch and home of the ‘Loch Ness Monster’
• visit to Urquhart Castle
• Dinner and overnight 4 or 5 star accommodation in Inverness (*or 2 nights on the Isle of Skye on your 9 night tour)
DAY 5 / 7* TO THE HEART OF SCOTLAND
• traditional Scottish Breakfast
• OPTION 1 (April – October only) visit to an award winning Scottish artisan cheese producer • visit to a highland/speyside whisky distillery • visit to Balmoral Castle – one of the Queen’s private residences (April to July) or Glamis Castle – the most beautiful castle in Scotland (August – October)
• OPTION 2 (Available all year round) visit to the ‘Highland Chocolatier’ (chocolate tasting experience) • the luxury House of Bruar clothing and food emporium for lunch/ shopping experience • Visit to Scotland’s oldest whisky distillery overnight stay with gourmet dinner in a Scottish castle hotel in the lower highlands (4 star) or the Gleneagles Hotel (5 star)
DAY 6 / 8* THE ‘PLAYGROUND OF THE GODS’ TO EDINBURGH
• traditional Scottish Breakfast
• visits and tastings at a speciality smoked salmon smokehouse and a craft ale brewery
• lunch in the Clubhouse at the 5 star Gleneagles Hotel
• journey to Edinburgh
• ‘The Taste of Scotland’, the most famous Scottish dinner folk/cabaret show in the world with highland dancers, bagpipers and ceilidh music (available April to September only. Replaced with Scotch Whisky Experience and Dinner during October to March)
• overnight 4 or 5 star accommodation in Edinburgh (Night 1 of 2)
DAY 7 / 9* COOKING IN THE CAPITAL, EDINBURGH
• traditional Scottish Breakfast
• ½ day cooking class in an award winning cook school
• an afternoon at leisure. (Allow us to make some recommendations and reservations if wished: Edinburgh Castle tour
• coffee at the very café author JK Rowling penned her famous Harry Potter books
• take the Scotch Whisky Experience and view the world’s largest Whisky collection
• visit the National Museum of Scotland
• Edinburgh Walking Food & Drink Tour
• visit the Royal Yacht Britannia)
• dinner at one of the city’s Michelin star restaurants
• overnight 4 or 5 star accommodation in Edinburgh (Night 2 of 2)
DAY 8 / 10* ‘FAREWELL’
• farewell Scottish breakfast
• transportation to airport/train station/your next accommodation location (Edinburgh).
Available for private/exclusive groups of 2 – 14 persons. Available all year round, for private departure (subject to availability).
