Our favourite chocolate experiences in Scotland

Chocolate may not be your first foodie thought when you think of Scotland but did you know there are over 75 top chocolate makers in Scotland? So, this Easter we’re giving the gift of an insight into a few of our favourite chocolate experiences that can be woven into your personalised tour itinerary with us.

Iain Burnett

Charlotte Flower

Let’s start with one of our personal favourites. Master Chocolatier IainBurnett is a truffle specialist who has become known as the Highland Chocolatier. His Velvet Truffles have received over 40 awards and have twice been awarded the Best Truffle in the World. His gourmet chocolates are sent to Michelin star chefs and some of the world’s most prestigious hotels. How about a personally guided insight into the world of artisan gourmet chocolate, its craftsmanship and subtleties followed by a tasting flight of the Velvet Truffles in Iain Burnett’s Chocolate Lounge? We can also arrange a Highland Malt Whisky and Chocolate matching experience if preferred.

Sophie at The Cocoa Tree Shop near St Andrews sells the most incredible Single Malt Whisky Liqueurs you are likely to taste and a private tasting of the best from the range is one of our favourite ‘hidden gem’ experiences.

And finally no-one integrates seasonal foraged ingredients into top quality artisan chocolates like Charlotte Flower.Based just a hop, skip and a jump from The Highland Chocolatier in Perthshire we can arrange a chocolate making class for you with Charlotte providing expert guidance on making a range of delicious chocolates to take home.

With an uncracked Easter egg awaiting my arrival I bid you a very Happy Easter!
